SCOPE OF WORK / DUTIES / ROLES
Under the direction of the Senior Engineer, the incumbent will perform duties such as the following:
- Continual monitoring of the capacity of the NIMSC Engineering workforce;
- Maintain an up-to-date Engineering Workforce skills matrix;
- Analyse the NIMSC Engineering forecasted workforce requirements, coordinating with other NIMSC Resource Centres (Project Management, Service Delivery Management) and NIMSC Business Unit Owners;
- In coordination with the Head of Engineering Management Office (HEMO), propose appropriate allocation of resources to Projects and Services;
- Continual review of allocation of resources in ServiceNow;
- Propose Training to HEMO and Department Heads, for updating and developing Engineering skills across the Engineering workforce;
- Organize internal training sessions;
- Track, coordinate and monitor leave and TDY requests for Engineering staff.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in workforce/resource allocation management of technical staff;
- Formal training in ServiceNOW;
- Highly proficient in MS Excel and complete MS Office suite;
Desirable:
- Experience in PowerBI report creation;
- A thorough knowledge of English, both written and spoken, is essential and some knowledge of the French.
