SCOPE OF WORK / DUTIES / ROLES
-
Operates and performs unit level troubleshooting and maintenance of the assigned microwave radio equipment and associated ancillary equipment, like multiplexers, channel banks, interface/adapter devices;
-
Manages detailed testing procedures to localize and diagnose causes of equipment malfunction or failure;
-
Troubleshoots and restores repaired microwave radio equipment to ensure channel and link parameters are met;
-
Carry out other duties as directed.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Basic knowledge on the microwave systems, wave guides and parabolic antennas;
-
Basic knowledge on Digital Line of sight (DLOS) systems;
-
Basic knowledge on the TCP/IP protocol and IP management concepts;
-
Minimum three years related professional experience on radio frequency communications systems;
-
Basic knowledge on Data Communications concepts;
-
Basic knowledge of the PCM and TDM technology;
-
Basic knowledge on the modulation/demodulation techniques;
-
Previous experience on the use of data analyzer test equipment;
-
Minimum three years related professional experience in the communications system field;
-
Higher Secondary education and completed higher vocational training leading to a formal technical or professional certification with 4 years function related experience or a Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 6 years post-related experience. Language Requirements;

English SLP 2222 (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing);

The HQ's host nation language is required. NOTE: The work both oral and written in this post and in this Headquarters as a whole is conducted mainly in English.
Desirable:

Communications Systems specialized;
-
Knowledge of policy, procedures, and organization of NATO CIS;

Working knowledge of ITIL processes and procedures.
