SCOPE OF WORK / DUTIES / ROLES

Design, implement, and maintain enterprise WiFi infrastructure across offices, campuses, warehouses, and remote sites;

Perform RF surveys, wireless capacity planning, coverage optimization, and interference analysis;
-
Configure and support wireless controllers, access points, guest networks, and secure authentication services;
-
Troubleshoot complex WiFi issues including roaming, latency, coverage gaps, authentication, and client connectivity;
-
Monitor wireless health using Splunk and other monitoring platforms; create dashboards, alerts, and performance reports;
-
Analyze logs and telemetry data to proactively identify wireless risks and service degradation;
-
Develop automation solutions using Python or Ansible to streamline wireless provisioning, audits, and standards compliance;
-
Utilize wireless monitoring tools to track coverage, client experience, device health, and performance trends;
-
Lead incident response for critical wireless outages and restore service within SLA targets;

Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive improvements to reduce recurring wireless issues;
-
Serve as senior escalation point for complex wireless problems and strategic initiatives;
-
Mentor junior engineers and share best practices in wireless design and troubleshooting;

Lead wireless projects such as office rollouts, hardware refreshes, migrations, and technology upgrades;
-
Maintain accurate documentation, standards, and operational procedures for the wireless environment.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum CCNP Enterprise (Wireless concentration preferred), CWNP, or equivalent advanced wireless certification;

7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise WiFi engineering and operations;

Strong expertise in wireless LAN technologies including 802.11 standards, RF design, roaming, channel planning, and interference mitigation;

Advanced knowledge of enterprise WiFi platforms such as Cisco, Aruba, Meraki, Juniper Mist, or similar;
-
Experience with Splunk for monitoring, log analysis and troubleshooting;

Network automation skills using Python or Ansible is a nice to have;

Hands-on knowledge of network and wireless monitoring tools;

Strong understanding of AAA services such as RADIUS, TACACS+, Cisco ISE, ClearPass, or similar NAC solutions;
-
Experience with incident management, root cause analysis, and major wireless outage resolution;
-
Experience mentoring engineers, leading projects, and acting as senior escalation point.
