SCOPE OF WORK / DUTIES / ROLES
- Supports development of architectures in specific business, infrastructure or functional areas;
- Assists in ensuring that appropriate tools and methods are available, understood, and employed in architecture development;
- Evaluates requests for changes and deviations from specifications and recommends actions;
- Applies relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices (including security) are applied correctly.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
The service contractor will be required to have experience in enterprise and solution architecture, system-of-systems design, and governance in complex federated environments. In particular, the following skills are considered required:
- Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including SysML and tools such as Cameo or Capella;
- Enterprise and solution architecture methods;
- NATO interoperability standards and architectural frameworks, including NAF, FMN, STANAGs, and TDL-related constraints;
- API and microservices design;
- Cloud-native and hybrid deployment architecture;
- Integration architecture and interface control;
- The service contractor will be required to have a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree at a nationally recognised/certified university in a technical subject with substantial Information Technology (IT) content and 3 years post-related experience;
- As an exception, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate's particular abilities or experience that are of interest to the NCI Agency; namely, at least 5 years of extensive and progressive experience in the duties related to the functions of this post.
Desirable:
- Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements;
- Knowledge of NATO organization, internal structure and resultant relationships.
