SCOPE OF WORK / DUTIES / ROLES

This is a IWC backfill within in the Chief Quality office Assurance Solution Branch (ASB) which delivers several services to NCIA, NATO organisations, Mission Partners;

Services are Assurance Tools Services, Reference and Platform Services and Combined Federated Battle Laboratories Network (CFBLNet) Access Service for European Mission Partners and NATO Organisations Services;

CFBLNet supports initiatives including coalition-level verification and validation, multilateral testing through exercises, bilateral testing with individual Nations and is a platform for secured collaborative spaces;

The IWC support the CFBLNet and Platform Service managers and performs and coordinates security management activities such as monitoring security systems, responding to alerts, conducting security checks, and assisting in maintaining a safe and secure environment for the organization;

They will be part of a diverse team which is responsible for the provision and management of the facilities, infrastructure and platforms that enable verification, validation, change evaluation, experimentation and simulation of large-scale events
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

3 years post-related experience Understanding of cybersecurity principles (CIA triad);

Practical systems administrator experience with Windows/Linux systems and network administrator experience with network CIS security (ISD, Firewalls);

Experience to SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk) and log monitoring;

Administrative tasks: tracking vulnerabilities, assisting with documentation;

Awareness of CIS Controls and general compliance best practices;

Potential previous experience in IT Security (System admin roles) Desired: Knowledge of NATO Security Policy and supporting directives or national equivalent;

Hands on experience in implementing security in container-based platforms;

Experience in working with one of the public/private cloud providers;

Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and secure interconnections of networks.
