SCOPE OF WORK / DUTIES / ROLES

Implement Discovery system(s) based on established technical requirements, ensuring alignment with the system design and architecture.

Design Discovery architecture and data exchange systems specifically for Air-Gapped networks.

Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to achieve security accreditation for the Discovery application(s) and system(s).

Assist the Technical Lead in maintaining technical coherence across various project streams.

Develop Build and Configuration documentation for the Discovery system(s) and contribute to the creation of Testing and Training documentation.

Provide support during testing phases of the Discovery system(s), including but not limited to Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) events.

Assist in the preparation and execution of Transition to Operations for Discovery system(s) post Go-Live, including handover activities to the Operations Team.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- The candidate must possess an active NATO SECRET security clearance.
- A university degree in Computer Engineering or a related discipline; alternatively, 5 years of equivalent industry experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in large-scale BMC Discovery (version 22.x and higher) deployments. BMC Certified Professional – DSM is beneficial.
- Recent experience in BMC Remedy ITSM (version 20.02 and higher) CMDB configuration. A BMC Certified Professional qualification is beneficial.
- ITIL 2011 (or later) Foundation certificate is advantageous.
- Experience with BMC TrueSight Operations Management (version 10.x and higher) is beneficial.
- A minimum of 3 years of recent experience implementing BMC CMDB and Discovery within NATO environments.
- Extensive experience installing BMC Discovery (version 22.x and higher) in both single and multi-tenancy environments, as well as in highly available and resilient designs.
- Extensive experience configuring BMC Discovery to integrate with Remedy ITSM CMDB (version 20.02 and higher).
- Significant experience in implementing Discovery architectures in Air-Gapped networks.
- Strong expertise in gathering, preparing, and configuring target networks and specialist segments for discovery.
- Proven knowledge and experience troubleshooting the integration with Remedy Atrium CMDB.
- Extensive expertise configuring BMC Discovery to perform deep discovery across various network node types and computing endpoints, particularly without relying on SNMP.
- Experience integrating BMC Discovery with TrueSight Orchestration (TSO) and configuring automated, targeted discovery executions triggered by TSO.
- Experience linking BMC Discovery with external vendor infrastructure systems to detect changes and trigger discovery executions for maintaining CMDB data accuracy.
- Proficiency in working with Linux and Windows servers.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure solutions hosting Service Management tools and technology, including networking, hypervisor, storage, and load-balancing solutions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a dynamic and multi-cultural team.
- Competence in participating in and supporting meetings with various stakeholders.
- Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
