SCOPE OF WORK / DUTIES / ROLES
  • Works with Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) basic processes and operations;
  • Maintains item and inventory management records;
  • Helps minimize bottlenecks and delays and the resulting impact on operating costs;
  • Uses real-time inventory software, with guidance, to move supplies where needed, when needed;
  • Assists in resolving issues related to physical space management.

Inventory Management - GCF:

  • Performs the receiving, ticketing, checking in and distributing of inventory items for a specific location;
  • Produces basic inventory management reports for senior staff to reconcile the inventory balances;
  • Tracks inventory information for a specific product group or location;
  • Works with basic tasks of inventory management for a specific location;
  • Follows processes to take stock, release inventory or return into processing; resolves discrepancies.

Logistics Management - GCF:

  • Uses tools, with guidance, to forecast delivery times, determine costs and assess performance;
  • Works with logistics in a domestic environment;
  • Maintains records of all shipments and invoices using an established system;
  • Assists in the development of process flows to track lead time by activity;
  • Participates in integrating logistics processes and developing effective networks.

Supply Chain Management - GCF:

  • Recognizes software systems or components used to manage supply chain;
  • Participates in supply chain analysis and uses it to spot trends and improvement opportunities;
  • Discusses considerations for integrating partner and supplier transactions;
  • Summarizes supply chain considerations for different types of products;
  • Works with a specific part of supply chain management process. Warehouse Management - GCF;
  • Analyzes and documents key performance indicators of warehouse management in own area.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Under direction the incumbent will conduct the annual inventory inspections and equipment discrepancies investigations in accordance with NCI Agency directives, provide data for the asset management reports, coordinate with technicians to ensure the correct ICT/non-ICT equipment is requested to satisfy the user's requirement, and enable NCIA entities and external customers in the requisitioning, receipt, storage, distribution, exchange, movement and disposal of assets within the area of responsibility.

The incumbent is expected to maintain a collaborative relationship with all stakeholders and other Agency support staff to ensure full compliance with all relevant processes and procedures and contribute to an atmosphere of mutual respect, personal accountability and professional support.
