SCOPE OF WORK / DUTIES / ROLES
- Prepare and update Core GIS system architecture;
- Definition of the configuration settings for security, anti-virus and underlying infrastructure software;
- Create all necessary accreditation documentation for the system;
- Prepare migration plan/steps from previous baselines;
- Assist with the Core GIS baseline User Acceptance;
- Support the SDM in the deployment of the Core GIS new software accredited
baseline to be provided in the classified networks; - Data/Services design, development and integration within the Esri platform and other JISR systems;
- Develop installation documentation;
- Create automated installation & configuration scripts;
- Support the installation & configuration the reference systems based on the defined architecture;
- Update the training materials and Core GIS system templates based on the latest accredited baseline for the Core GIS trainings.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- MSc degree at a nationally recognised/certified in a GIS, IT, Computer or Software discipline and a minimum of 6 years post-related experience;
- Or exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by demonstration of a candidate's particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 10 years extensive and progressive expertise in related to the function of the post;
- Large experience across a broad range of IT related skill areas including networking, securityserver and desktop installation, enterprise applications, web applications and desktop development;
- Strong experience with design, integration and implementation of Enterprise GIS solutions;
- Experience with VMWare virtual server implementation, optimization and management;
- Experience with optimizing and configuring Cloud solutions;
- Demonstrated experience on version migration of large and complex systems;
- Proficiency with Python, ArcPy, Powershell or other scripting tools;
- Proven experience in developing GIS Enterprise system architectures;
- Large experience in setting upgrade/migration paths for existing complex systems;
- Expertise in IT infrastructure and platform services (such as databases, virtualization platforms, network components) to the extent as it is required for the design and operation enterprise system;
- Large experience in optimization of underlying services such as anti-virus, firewall network;
- Professional experience with direct customer contact and the direct interaction customers;
- Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military civilian elements;
- Proven ability to integrate and work in a multinational team;
- Fluent business English;
- NATO SECRET Clearance;
- Strong knowledge of ArcGIS software including installation, configuration, optimization creation of all currently available service types;
- Strong experience with design, integration and implementation of ArcGIS Enterprise solutions;
- Ability and willingness to create complete and detailed documentation (architecturetroubleshooting, procedures, specifications, etc.).
