SCOPE OF WORK / DUTIES / ROLES
IT Service Change Management:
- Provides status reports for implemented IT service changes to senior management;
- Implements routine changes in a live IT service environment;
- Generates schedule and time estimates for IT service changes;
- Participates in analysing the risks, costs and benefits of proposed IT service changes;
- Documents the procedures and changes made in IT service.
Change control:
- Develops, documents and implements changes based on requests for change;
- Applies change control procedures;
- Applies tools, techniques and processes to manage and report on change requests.
Requirements definition and management:
- Uses standard techniques to elicit, specify, and document requirements for simple subject areas with clearly-defined boundaries;
- Assists in the definition and management of requirements;
- Assists in the creation of a requirements baseline;
- Assists in investigating and applying authorised changes.
Risk management:
- Undertakes basic risk management activities;
- Maintains documentation of risks, threats, vulnerabilities and mitigation actions.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 3 years post-related experience;
- Or a secondary educational qualification with 5 years post-related experience;
- 3 years of practical experience in performing change requests from initiation to closure while engaging with relevant process owners and stakeholders;
- ITIL v3/v4 Foundation Certification.
