SCOPE OF WORK / DUTIES / ROLES
- Transport the new KVM switches and cables, including accompanying documentation and certificates, from the warehouse building to the users’ desks (another building within the compound); Contractor will inform the Purchaser when collecting the KVM switches and cables from warehouse about any possible damages/broken boxes/devices (Dead on Arrival);
- Install the new KVM switches at the user desks including necessary connections to the input devices (laptops, workstations) and output peripherals (monitors, keyboard, mouse);
- Contractor will need to provide any necessary HDMI to HDMI cables and/or HDMI to DisplayPort converter when necessary for the replacement of the ca 100 old switches;
- Verify, and if necessary, troubleshoot, the functionality of the newly installed KVM switches, input devices and output peripherals;
- Disconnect and remove old KVM switches including no longer necessary cables from the user desks and transport them from the user desks to the warehouse building for disposal;
- Dispose any KVM switch and/or cabling switch packaging by transporting it to the warehouse building for disposal. No packaging regarding KVM switches and/or cables should remain in the Office Building nor on the Users’ Desks;
- Record asset management transactions in an Electronic/ Machine readable Report for the further distribution to the Purchaser for asset inventory purposes. File should contain serial number and location of the asset as well as serial number for disposed KVM switches;
- Provide any necessary Velcro tapes for cabling-desk arrangement when proceeding with KVMs installation and replacement.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- The Contractor personnel shall possess valid Personal Security Clearances at NATO SECRET level for the duration of the Contract performance to allow autonomy in movement within the site;
- The primary working language of the Purchaser is English. The Contractor personnel shall have basic knowledge of the English language to allow interactions with the Purchaser staff;
- The contractor personnel shall possess basic IT skills to be able to perform the asset transactions in the Purchaser’s IT system;
- The Contractor shall undertake the work at Supreme Allied Command Transformation Headquarters, Norfolk, United States of America. The contractor requires USA VISA or existing right to work in USA (Individual VISA is not accepted) access to the Base, subject to additional rules and procedures. The security details of personnel are to be provided to the site at least 2 weeks prior to work commencing.
