SCOPE OF WORK / DUTIES / ROLES
- Develops required Grafana/PowerBi/SSRS reports for Database monitoring and configuration management;
- Develops and configures tools to enable automation of database administration tasks;
- Develops dynamic reports for database management systems, including issues and considerations;
- Designs standard reports and automation policies to regulate database management system activities;
- Keeping up to date Software Lifecycle (roadmap) management of database products;
- Performs routine installation, re-configuration, backups of database and related products on on-premises and cloud environments.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- The candidate must have a currently active NATO SECRET security clearance;
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft reporting technologies (PowerBI, SSRS, SSIS), Grafana reporting and Automation technologies (Ansible) and sound experience on at least two;
- Good understanding of Microsoft SQL Server relational databases;
- A good understanding of more advanced architectures on High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions, like server clustering and virtual infrastructures.
Language Proficiency:
- Proficiency in one of the two NATO languages, both written and spoken, is essential. A working knowledge of the second language is desirable.
- Note: The majority of work at the NCI Agency is conducted in English.
