SCOPE OF WORK / DUTIES / ROLES
- Design, implement, and manage TCP/IP data networks, including CWDM, QOS, and Ethernet switching for large networks (>1000 nodes) using UTP and fiber optic cabling.
- Administer and maintain CISCO and Nexus application switches across complex network infrastructures.
- Oversee network security protocols, including the administration of Fortinet and CISCO firewall systems, SSL offloading devices, and high-grade encryption technologies.
- Manage and monitor telecommunication protocols (VoIP, H.232) and ensure the performance and security of communication systems.
- Ensure optimal network performance through the use of network management, monitoring, and debugging tools, while managing load balancing using F5 Application Delivery Controllers.
- Implement and manage DHCP/DNS Infoblox, Trinzic 825, and Network Services One and Grid systems for efficient IP address management and DNS services.
- Perform structural cabling, fiber installations, and manage the administration of Ethernet switching and routing in large-scale environments.
- Apply ITIL processes for change management, incident management, and configuration management in a secure network environment.
- Lead disaster recovery management efforts at the network level and ensure the continuous operation of highly available environments across multiple sites.
- Provide support for proxy servers, crypto devices, and secure dial-in systems with authentication and encryption.
- Coordinate and manage network projects, contributing to project management tasks, with an emphasis on network security and infrastructure scalability.
- Communicate effectively in English (C1 level CEFR), with knowledge of another EU language (French is highly desirable).
- Maintain and enhance security clearances and ensure adherence to network security regulations in secure environments.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- A valid Security Clearance. (Without a valid security clearance, you will not be considered !) ;
- A 4 year degree in Computer Science related Degree and 10 years experience in IT Engineering. (In the absence of a degree each candidate will have an additional two years experience per annum of missing higher education) ;
- CCNA Routing and Switching certified or higher such as CCNP ;
- It’s desirable to hold a CCNA Data Center certification, a CCNA Cyber Ops certification or other relevant certification ;
- 10 years experience and excellent knowledge of TCP/IP Data Networks (including CWDM, QOS), 10 years experience in Structural cabling and fibre installations, 10 years experience and excellent knowledge of administration of Ethernet switching and routing systems in large networks (>1000 nodes) on UTP and fibre optic cabling, 10 years experience and excellent knowledge of network management, monitoring and debugging tools and Performance monitoring ;
- 8 years experience and very good knowledge of CISCO & Nexus application Switches ;
- 5 years expertise in network security, 5 years experience in telecommunication protocols (VoIP, H232), 5 years experience working in ITIL environment, 5 years experience and very good knowledge of F5 Application delivery controller, load balancing ;
- 5 years experience and excellent knowledge of administration of Fortinet & CISCO firewall systems, content inspection, firewall statistics and related security tools, 5 years experience and excellent knowledge of SSL offloading devices and High-grade encryption, 5 years experience and very good knowledge of DHCP/DNS Infoblox, Trinzic 825 w/ Network Services One and Grid, 5 years experience with proxy servers ;
- 3 years experience in project management are desirable ;
- 3 years experience and good knowledge of Crypto devices, 3 years experience in managing highly available environments and mutliple site support such as Secure Network Environments, 3 years experience in disaster recovery management at network level ;
- 1 year experience and excellent knowledge of dial-in systems with authentication and encryption ;
- An excellent knowledge of English is mandatory (level C1 CEFR) beside the knowledge of another language of the EU. The knowledge of French is also seen as a very valuable asset.
