SCOPE OF WORK / DUTIES / ROLES
The requirement is for a specialist electronic security systems (ESS) security SME that has deep and proven expertise in supporting Protective Security Design and providing Protective Security advice, specifically in the integration of Physical Security supporting ESS subsystems such as perimeter protection, SCC, CCTV (including image capture creation (camera/lens), interconnecting data paths and image processing (frame rates, resolution, anlaysis and storage), Intruder Detection Systems (IDS – Internal and Perimeter), Automated Access Control (AAC) (including perimeter/barrier controls, badging and ID/authentication), Security Lighting and ESS integrated management systems. The SME must be experienced in building integrated ESS into an SCC, working in sensitive classified
environments (up to NATO Secret) and be familiar/comfortable with overarching NATO Security Policy and with EU Standards.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
A minimum of five years working within the Security Design of the Built Environment within the context of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). Must be familiar with the key issues of perimeter protection, protection of buildings and facility Counter-Terrorism, with a specialism in ESS support, including installing, commissioning and maintenance. Ideally, the SME will have experience of working on similar NATO projects. The SME
will ideally have a combination of generalist industry recognised Security credentials (such as the ASIS CPP/PSM or the ISMI CSMP) and technical security engineering related qualifications/certifications.
